ARLINGTON, Virginia – Firefighters and EMS Fund has been accepted as a member of the Fire and Emergency Manufacturers and Services Association (FEMSA) as well as invited to the annual Hill Day 2019. As a member of the association, Firefighters and EMS Fund will have the opportunity to learn first-hand the areas firefighters and EMS personnel need the most help with regarding equipment.

“We will be able to gather information on the legislation that industry insiders need to support in order to ensure they are effective at their essential tasks,” said Nile Porter, Executive Director of Firefighters and EMS Fund. “We have gained the opportunity to see the fire services industry from a new perspective, and are excited to use what we learn to better serve those around us.”

FEMSA is a trade association that is focused on helping organizations grow. It provides assistance in four key areas: community, marketing, education and insight and governmental affairs.

The mission of Firefighters and EMS Fund is to provide a grassroots voice for firefighters across the country in the state and local political process. The mission begins by supporting ballot initiatives and working to elect political leaders at the state and local level that understand firefighters’ and public safety officers’ interests.
